After-School Program for Girls (2024-25)

Our after-school centers, operating daily from 4:30 PM to 7:30 PM, are dedicated to fostering the holistic development of girls through academic support and essential life skills training. We run two centers in the GHMC municipality, each led by a skilled facilitator or teacher and exclusively designed for girls.

In addition to academic enrichment, the centers emphasize:

  • Child Rights Awareness: Educating girls about their rights and empowerment.
  • Value of Education: Highlighting the importance of learning for personal growth.
  • Prevention of Gender-Based Violence: Equipping girls with knowledge and strategies to stay safe.
  • Menstrual Hygiene Management (MHM): Providing guidance on health and hygiene practices.
  • Life Skills Development: Building confidence, communication, and decision-making skills.
  • Interactive Games and Activities: Encouraging creativity, teamwork, and engagement through fun, hands-on experiences.
  • To strengthen community ties and support, we conduct regular meetings with parents and engage with the local community within the GHMC municipality to promote the program’s goals and foster collaboration.
  • ANKITA has supported ANGANWADI and Primary School children under the Education & Child Development Program. This program covered 50 government schools, villages, and 19 Mandals of VKB district with the support of Women & Child Department of Telangana and Education Department.

Student Kit Distribution at MPPS and Government Schools

ANKITA, in collaboration with the Greensole Foundation, organized a student kit distribution event at MPPS schools and government schools of Telangana. Kits consisting of school bags, chappals, and mats were distributed to students from 1st to 5th Class. This initiative aimed to support children from underprivileged backgrounds by providing them with essential school supplies for the academic year 2024-25.
